Biography

Ms. Lorah Neville has dedicated her career to education, beginning as a middle school teacher after earning her degree in Elementary Education. She swiftly progressed, achieving a Masters in Educational Leadership and assuming roles of increasing responsibility and impact across various educational settings.

Her journey included serving as an assistant principal in K-5 and later as a principal in K-6 schools. Ms. Neville then broadened her influence as a K-12 Director of Curriculum and subsequently as an Executive Director overseeing curriculum, assessment, technology, special education, and principal supervision in K-8 settings. Her tenure culminated with a distinguished role as a K-8 Superintendent, where she spearheaded comprehensive educational initiatives and district-wide improvements.

Throughout her career, Ms. Neville was instrumental in delivering professional development, driving school improvement initiatives, and evaluating educational personnel at all levels. She has been a catalyst for transformative change in both school and district environments, leveraging her expertise to implement and refine educational models such as those developed by Marzano.

Beyond administrative roles, Ms. Neville has enriched the field of education through teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, mentoring teaching practicum students, and serving as adjunct faculty at Northern Arizona University and Arizona State University. Her international impact extends to collaborating with visiting principals, teachers, and pre-service educators.

Ms. Neville is a certified trainer in Facilitative Leadership as well as for the National Center on Education and the Economy and Center for the Future of Arizona for her facilitation of the Executive Development Program through the Beat the Odds Academy. She continues to empower educational leaders nationwide through professional learning and coaching, driven by her unwavering belief that every student can succeed with the support of dedicated teachers and leaders.

Recently, Ms. Neville shared her insights at the Building Expertise 2023 National Conference, underscoring her commitment to advancing educational practices and leadership strategies. She remains actively engaged in her community as the chair of the Desert Sounds Board of Directors and as a volunteer with the Kyrene School Community Foundation.

Ms. Neville’s enduring passion for educational excellence and her profound impact on the field continue to inspire and shape the future of education nationwide.
